This policy explains what ECO-U collects when you use eco-u.co.uk, why we collect it and what you can ask us to do with it.
Who we are
ECO-U is run by Alex Saunders, a plumber based in Norfolk. We sell water-saving fittings and carry out plumbing work across Norfolk and Suffolk. For anything about your data, email info@eco-u.co.uk.
What we collect
When you place an order
Your name, address, email address and phone number. We need these to deliver your order, fit it if you have asked us to and contact you about it. You pay by cash or card when the order arrives, so we never take or store card details on this website.
When you book a visit
Your name, email address, phone number, the address of the job and any notes you add. We use these to arrange the visit and to get in touch about it.
When you make an account
Your username, email address and the details above, so you can see your orders and bookings. You can change these at any time in your account.
When you email us
Your email address and what you write. We use it to reply.
When you browse
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It sets cookies and records your device, browser and rough location. It does not tell us who you are. Our cookie notice remembers your choice with a cookie of its own.
Who we share it with
We never sell your data. We share it only with the services that run this website for us.
- Krystal hosts the website on servers in the UK.
- Google provides Google Analytics.
- Our email provider sends order and booking emails.
We may also pass data on where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for six years, as tax law requires. Booking details are kept for two years after the visit. Account details are kept until you ask us to delete your account. Emails are deleted once they are no longer needed.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you. You can also ask us to correct it, delete it or stop using it. Email info@eco-u.co.uk and we will reply within a month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
